| Over the last nine vintage Allandale has established a fine track record with verdelho winning gold medals and trophies. The 2008 ;verdelho follows stylistically from the previous vintages. The fruit comes from two different vineyards, an old vineyard in the Upper Hunter and a young vineyard next door to Allandale. The 2008 vintage was characterised by low yields but very high quality fruit. Tropical flavours dominate both the nose ad palate of this verdelho. The rich, ripe style will complement a wide variety of food and is particularly well, matched with seafood and Asian style dishes. |
