Arakoon Clarendon Shiraz 2006

Kemenys Price : $29.99
RRP $38.00
Kemenys Rating : 94/100
Value :: ddddd

Tasting Note :
The Clarendon shiraz, produced in miniscule quantities, best represents the exceptional results of small lot production. This sexy, spicy wine oozes a Gucci-like sophistication with a surprising amount of bright, red fruit rising up from a wash of plum and bramble-blackberry flavours. Drop a pebble in a pond and see the circles lap outward, increasing in scope and dimension. So to, the complexity of this wine will open up to continued layers of intensity and pockets of flavour. This is a standout wine, not to be missed.

Arakoon Clarendon Shiraz 2005

Kemenys Price : $29.99
RRP
Kemenys Rating : 94/100
Value :: dddd

Tasting Note :
Rare as hen's teeth and fine as coal dust, this singular wine was
babied from the vineyard to the bottle in its tiny 100 case production. Redolent of cassis, classy French oak and Christmas cake, this luxuriant wine has a delicious core of juicy red fruit and brambly blackberry packing a decadent punch. For those special moments when you need to impress the most jaded wine junkie, you will find none better.

Arakoon Doyen Shiraz 2004

Kemenys Price : $39.99
RRP
Kemenys Rating : 95/100
Value :: ddddd

Tasting Note :
The rich soils of Wilunga show a generosity that seems to elude the
more common parcels around the McLaren Vale, and it is for this reason that the miniscule 200 case production of Doyen Shiraz continues to stand out as one of the rare, super-premium wines of
the region. The 2004 represents a bit of a departure from the enormous offerings of previous vintages that have maximised alcoholic girth in lieu of potential ageability. This very fine rendition comes back to Earth with a focussed 14.5% of pure drinking pleasure. Soft layers of lifted red fruits surround a concentrated core of choco-cherries and rich plum. The texture of this wine is supple, while the underlying youthful tannins are evidence of a fine structure that will reward many years of patient cellaring.

Chris Ringland 3 Rings Shiraz 2006

Kemenys Price : $15.99
RRP $19.50
Parker Rating 91/100
Value : ddddd

Tasting Note :
"This 2006 shiraz, is a wine sourced from three Barossa vineyards.
The wine was aged in American oak. Opaque purple coloured, it offers up a jammy perfume of cedar, spice box, violets, blueberry and blackberry. This leads to a medium to full bodied wine made in
surprisingly elegant style. Supple textured, full flavoured, with well integrated tannin, this hedonistic effort will evolve for 3-5 years but can be enjoyed now and over the next 10 years."

Elderton Command Shiraz 2004

Kemenys Price : $75.00
RRP : $95.00
Parker Rating : 98/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

"The 2004 shiraz "Command" comes from a single block of 104 year old vines. It was aged in 100 per cent new oak puncheons (400 litre barrels). Opaque purple coloured, this shiraz has fabulous aromatic of smoke, melted tar, licorice, espresso, game and blueberry compote. Layered but tight, this full-bodied wine is thick, rich and totally hedonistic. The finish lasts for 60 seconds. However, be warned. This monumental shiraz needs 10-15 years to fully unfold. It will provide pleasure through 2035."
