Brokenwood Semillon 2009

Kemenys Price : $16.99
Kemenys Rating : 94/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

Very pale straw-green; the wine has a delicate yet positive flowery bouquet, hinting at what is to come on the vivid mid-palate, with citrus to the fore, and background touches of stone fruits, the zesty acidity cleanses the finish and guarantees a long life if you wish to cellar it.

McWilliams Lovedale Semillon 2003

Kemenys Price : $35.00
Kemenys Rating : 96/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

You can't do anything but love this. Still bright and lively, there are the familiar lemon sherbert, hay, light spice and some freshly made toast starting to show through. Beginning to soften nicely, with brilliantly clear acidity giving it crunch, and balancing the richness of the fruit. There is plenty of time left in this for cellaring (but we dare you to keep your hands off.

McWilliams Mt Pleasant Elizabeth 2006

Kemenys Price : $12.99
Kemenys Rating : 92/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

Sweet lime-juicy and forward - lots of flavour but pared back with dry flinty acidity that's just enough to tighten and square it off. Has some hay and toasty bottle aged characters along with a tiny bit of spritz and fair bit of free sulphur. Not the greatest of back palates, but it's very tasty. In short, I like this vintage. Perhaps not one for hanging on to, but it drinks rally well now. Approachable, low alcohol, lively and so much better (and cheaper) than most sauvignon blanc.

Tyrrells Old Winery Semillon 2009

Kemenys Price : $9.99
Kemenys Rating :
Value :

Tasting Note :

Juicy and fleshy with real presence for a young semillon. Lots of
lemon and nectarine a little fresh herb and a tight structure. Acid
is fresh and balanced. Flavours linger nicely on the finish. Very
well made wine

Tyrrell's Stevens Semillon 2006

Kemenys Price : $19.99
Kemenys Rating : 95/100
Value :
Awards :

Tasting Note :
Similar to the 2005 vintage, this wine has complex mineral and flint aromas with a palate dominated by the length of fruit and richness of flavour. And, as always with semi-matured Hunter Valley Semillon, a wonderful balance between fresh citrus flavours of youth and the aged "toasty" characters of maturity.
