Kemenys Price : $16.99
Sells for up to : $19.99
Kemenys Rating :
Value :

Tasting Note :

"The pale colour and doughy, fresh fermented aromas betray the youth of this Hunter Valley wine.  Shy dry-grass aroma; palate is         delicate, gently herbal, dry, fine and yet soft and easy to enjoy
already.  A wine of real delicacy.  Now to six years.

Fermoy Estate Semillon 2005

Kemenys Price : $16.99
RRP : $22.99
Kemenys Rating :
Value :

Tasting Note :
Intensely lifted lemon rind, straw and grassy herbaceousness with subtle nutty oak background. The medium bodied wine has crisp citrus flavoured entry which develops into an attractive blend of herbaceous and tropical flavours. The wine has considerable length and a warm crisp finish. Will cellar for many years to come.

McWilliams Mount Pleasant Museum Release Elizabeth 1998

Kemenys Price : $36.99
RRP : $41.00
Kemenys Rating : 95/100
Value :

Tasting Note :
Straw coloured wine with green hues and an enticing bouquet of citrus, lemon, sherbert, lanolin and toast aromas. A very generous wine on the palate with lemon and lanolin flavours predominating. The structure is still quite tight and delicate with a lovely complexity and fine acid balance.

McWilliams Mt Pleasant Elizabeth 2003

Kemenys Price : $13.99
RRP : $17.99
Kemenys Rating : 95/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

This wine exhibits qualities typical of quality semillon from a warm  vintage: pronounced green apple and lime zest, with developing        secondary characters of toast and crushed herbs.  The palate is       soft, round and generous with lime and lemon flavours dominating.   The back palate reveals the beginnings of Hunter semillon aged       characters of toast and lanolin.  The complex and refined palate is well complemented by the fresh, clean finish.

Peter Lehmann Semillon 2006

Kemenys Price : $8.99
RRP : $12.99
Kemenys Rating
Value :

Tasting Note :

A delicate pale straw with green tints, the nose is a fragrant   melange of lemon blossom, with notes of grapefruit and beeswax.  The palate is lively, clean and zippy and beautifully refreshing.  Simply a wonderful wine to sip.

Torbreck Woodcutters Semillon 2006

Kemenys Price : $15.99
RRP : $20.00
Kemenys Rating : 93/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

An excellent vintage, harvested from 90 year old vines from the Madeira clone, the Woodcutter's Semillon is a satisfying medium to
full bodied wine that combines fresh citrus fruit characters with faint nutty richness obtained from barrel fermentation. This wine has been blended for immediate enjoyment.

Tyrrell's Old Winery Semillon 2008

Kemenys Price : $8.99
RRP : $14.99
Kemenys Rating :
Value :

Tasting Note :

Tyrrell's believe that Hunter semillon should always be made without oak, to allow the citrus-like fruit flavours to stand out and the  wine to develop complexity in the bottle.  This wine has an            attractive wine style with soft lemon/lime flavours and a clean
refreshing palate. Serve slightly chilled.

Tyrrells Stevens Semillon 2004

Kemenys Price : $18.99
RRP : $29.99
Kemenys Rating :
Value

Tasting Note :
The fruit sourced for Tyrrells Stevens semillon comes from the 'Glen
Oak' vineyard which has a history of growing Hunter semillon dating back to 1910. The 2003 vintage was severely reduced by drought and as a result this semillon is a lean, floral scented wine with a crisp acid backbone that opens up with time in the glass. Whilst a few more years will see it start to really develop, you can enjoy it now or put it away for another day.
