Carrick Pinot Noir 2005

Kemenys Price : $52.99
RRP :
Kemenys Rating :92/100
Value :

Tasting Note :
Currently (August 2006) the wine is still closed with subdued aromas of red berries, briar and oak. On the palate it is rich, dense and concentrated. The wine is showing a similar evolution to the 2003 vintage, where red and black cherries, boysenberries and blackberries are the dominant fruit flavours. Like the 2003 we expect the wine to show complexity and refinement with time. The best parcels of grapes from selected sites in the vineyard are chosen for this wine. The fine integrated tannins give structure and length and it will develop into a seamless wine with opulent fruit, structure and power.

Chatto Tamar Valley Pinot Noir 2001

Kemenys Price : $42.99
RRP :
Kemenys Rating
Value :

Tasting Note :
This Tasmanian Pinot comes from several carefully selected vineyards in the Tamar, Derwent, Cole and Huon River Valleys, each with own distinct expression of Pinot Noir." An impressive Pinot from a top Tassy harvest with complex earthy, fungal, undergrowth and dried herb characters. The palate is savoury and quiet firm. It's unusual to see an Aussie Pinot with this much tannin. Drink it with grilled lamb chops and you'll find it has a power of deep black-cherry fruit:great structure and a very long palate. Will improve with decanting and breathing for a couple of hours."

Devils Ridge Adelaide Hills Block 12 Reserve Pinot Noir 2006

Kemenys Price : $24.99
RRP :$34.95
Kemenys Rating : 94/100

Tasting Note :

Sourced from Block 12 in the Adelaide Hills this extremely approachable medium bodied pinot noir has complex aromas of smoked bacon and roasted coffee bean. The palate is fruit forward with gamey, truffle flavours and natural sweetness softened by velvety tannins and moderate use of oak. ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL TASMANIAN PINOT FROM 2005

42 Degrees South Pinot Noir 2005

Kemenys Price : $22.99
RRP :
Kemenys Rating
Value :

Tasting Note :

The 2005 vintage was very good in Tasmania and this wine is testimony to that.  Wood maturation was used sparingly to provide some complexity without compromising the primary fruit flavours of rich dark berry fruits and spice, herbal and floral characters.  This wine shows excellent balance and structure - soft and silky with good length.  This is a gem of a Pinot representing great value for  money but there is not a lot available so be quick.

Escarpment Martinborough Pinot Noir 2007

Kemenys Price : $38.99
RRP : $55.00
Kemenys Rating 96/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

Perfume, elegant fruit flavours, and soft ripe tannins are all
hallmarks of this outstanding Pinot Noir. Exceptionally cool
flowering weather in December 2006 resulted in an unusually
small crop. A normal warm summer followed creating the
distinctive Escarpment style showing complexity and
attractive texture and savoury ripe fruit flavours for which
Pinot Noir is celebrated. Inspired by the classic wines of Burgundy, this Pinot noir is a tribute to Martinborough’s unique terrior. It will cellar gracefully for up to 10 years.
