A deep ruby colour, this wine offers intense blackcurrant characters and typical Pyrenees mint flavours with some well integrated toasty, mocha, cigar box notes from the oak. It displays a fantastic balance of fruit freshness and the firm tannins typical of Taltarni, making it perfect for drinking now or cellaring for up to 10 years.

Jam packed with juicy blueberry fruit and black jelly beans with a
layer of almond paste and a light veneer of cedar oak. Then soft
and plump with sweet choc dipped plums and blueberries, fine, soft
suede-like tannins and balanced acidity. There's a touch of bitter
herb on exit but no problem. It's a highly slurpable, built for
on-premise 'ooohs and ahhh that's bloody nice' sort of wine but
excellent at what it does, and so it is. It's not especially
complex but it goes very well. The (all important) score? Hmmm 90
or 91 points, can't decide, although tonight I'm feeling the love.
