Elderton Estate Barossa Merlot 2006

Kemenys Price : $24.99
Kemenys Rating : 94/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

"It tastes of chocolate and blackberries, cedarwood and mulberries, the fruit freshiness of it offset by firm, almost ironstone-like-tannins. It's got reasonably length and a good mix of plump fruit generosity and restraint. There is a clear evidence of oak flavour, but in a positive way."

CAMPBELL MATTINSON, WINEFRONT, 11/11/2008

Fermoy Estate Merlot 2007

Kemenys Price : $26.99
Kemenys Rating :
Value :

Tasting Note :

Crimson in colour with a purple hue. Aromas of lifted plum with
dried thyme and briary characters. A juicy palate entry of plum and raspberry developing into briary and brushy herbaceousness, finishing dry and long. The chalky tannins integrated with acidity draw the flavours through the palate.

Tanunda Single Vineyard Merlot 2006

Kemenys Price : $19.99
Kemenys Rating : 92/100
Value

Tasting Note :

Lifted ripe plums and red cherry fruit with an underlying hint of mint and white pepper from the French oak. A ripe palate of plums, quince and red cherry fruits, soft and full flavoured yet elegantly interwoven with a layer of dusty French oak. The palate has a real fleshy mid-palate structure and silky, earthy spice giving the wine a delicious savoury texture which will reward cellaring over the short to mid term.

Taylors Estate Clare Valley Merlot 2007

Kemenys Price : $12.99
Kemenys Rating : 90/100
Value

Tasting Note :

This wine is medium bodied with an abundance of ripe, juicy plum and red berry fruit characters. The fruit flavours are balanced by subtle spicy characters of nutmeg and cinnamon. The tannins are soft and the acids well balanced with finishing long and full-flavoured.
