Tasting Note :
McLaren Vale shiraz produced rich and flavoursome wines from the 2006 vintage. This shiraz has been matured in French and American oak for 18 months to provide spicy, peppery and plum fruit characters. The palate is full bodied with rich, sweet fruit of good length and viscosity finishing with balanced acidity. This wine is very approachable at release, however has the structure to mature and develop over the next 10 years.

KHL 1403

Kemenys Price : $12.00
Sells for up to : $28.00
Kemenys Rating : 93/100

Tasting Note :
This full-bodied shiraz was sourced from premium vineyards in the Barossa Valley. Carefully crafted by a winemaker who has won four Jimmy Watson Trophies and is a 'Baron of the Barossa' award winner. Some may guess his identity, others will study the label. But all will agree that this is amazing value. A typical Barossa shiraz with lashings of plum and berry fruit flavours on the palate. Soft, velvety tannins ensure the finish is lengthy and well structured. Snap it up while you can! Cellar for 5-10 years.

2004 was a difficult year due to drought conditions in the Heathcote region of Victoria. But don't let that deter you from trying this shiraz. A blend from 6 vineyards in the region, it is a beautifully constructed amalgam of berry fruit flavours interlaced with spicey, pepper characters. Quite simply this is an amazing wine for the money. One of the best we have tasted this year! 2000 cases only - be quick.
