Martinborough is renowned for growing some of New Zealand's greatest pinot noir. The 2008 season was warm, dry and calm - ideal for growing outstanding pinot noir grapes. This is a boldly coloured wine with all the classic fragrance of pinot noir; red fruits, cherry, roses and violets. The palate is rich, silky, concentrated and filled with cherries, plum and spice. The finish is long and satisfying, with great depth of flavour, velvety tannins and a long rich finish.

It's all about the cherries. Full-bodied pinot with deep dark cherry aromas and some attractive gaminess in the background. Cherries dominate again on the full palate with classy, savoury oak leading to a long finish. A really versatile pinot, making it a great food match from rich seafoods through to game such as venison.
