Wow! Our first dessert wine under Hidden Label and what a find. Made by the Cordon Cut method which is a risky process whereby the canes are cut when the grapes are ripe. Dehydration dramatically increases the sugar level, giving a lusciously sweet wine without being at all cloying. Aromas are of dried apricot and mandarin peel. These follow to the intensely flavoured palate plus quince/honey characters, Long finish with balancing acid. Will give any rich dessert or blue cheese a run for its money.
