An elegant balance of fruit flavours and good structure describes this cool climate cabernet sauvignon. The flavours extend from spice to mint to black olive and liquorice, giving a wonderful mouth-feel and lingering aftertaste. The tannins are firm yet approachable.
This cabernet sauvignon has been selected from premium vineyards in Coonawarra.2006 was an excellent year producing this full flavoured, silky wine which displays ripe, varietal, cassis fruit flavours. Maturation in French oak has contributed mocha, cedar and vanilla aromas adding further complexity. A classic Coonawarra cabernet that will age gracefully with 5-10 years in the cellar at least.
This is a sophisticated wine with rich intensity of flavour you would expect from the Barossa. It has a lifted berry fruit bouquet with soft tannins and a full, fleshy body. The gentle background of oak results in a perfectly balanced wine with layers of complexity and a great length of flavour. A wine that will cellar for a minimum of 10 years.
