The wine has lime citrus aromas, with cashew and melon notes. Then palate has melon fruit and citrus flavours, with lovely length and persistence. The flavours of stone fruits are balanced with bright acidity and selected oak.

This wine has an intense lifted white peach, nectarine and cashew nut aroma. The palate is luscious and mouth filling with sweetish fruit flavours of peach, nectarine and citrus through and a creamy texture derived from the extended lees stirring post fermentation. The wine has good acidity which balances the viscosity of the palate well. The finish is clean and crisp.

It's distinctively regional, with roast hazelnut, smoke and a hint of Friar's Balsam antiseptic aroma over peachy fruit, nicely oaked and ultra complex. Rich Chardonnay and white nectarine stone fruit characters on the nose and throughout the entire palate, with an underlying savoury lift from subtle oak usage. The solids addition and higher fermentation temperature have added texture and an almost French style "flintiness" to the wine, making it more complex and interesting. No malolactic fermentation has ensured a balanced and tight wine style with lingering fresh acidity that promises to age well.

The 2007 Chardonnay is a bright straw with green tinges. The aroma has a vibrant almost pungent perfume with great complexity. Fruit forward with nuances of orange peel, apple pie with cloves, peach jam and cinnamon like spicy French oak and subtle hints of almond meal. The palate is firm with fresh acid upfront and a central supple core of rich Chardonnay fruit. The mouth feel is full and intense with spicy apple and custard flavours. The finish is warm with light oak tannins finishing the wine dry with the perfumed fruit yeast and oak complexities lingering.
