The nose is intense and clean with notes of candied fruit, especially wild strawberry. It carries suggestions of almond and red currant jelly. Good weight on the palate with slight acidity. Mouthfeel is fleshy, fresh and tender. Definitely balanced with very silky texture. The finish is lively, not aggressive, with persistent length.

The intense robe, which is golden yellow with satiny tints, gives rise to abundant fine bubbles. The powerful note of preserved fruits (citrus and apricot), honey and dry straw develops into brioche and smoked notes. On the palate it is well rounded and generous. The mineral quality characteristic of vintage 2000 is well in evidence. The smooth and complex finish reveals a very suitable dosage.
