O Leary Walker Polish Hill Riesling 2008

Kemenys Price : $17.99
RRP : $22.00
Kemenys Rating : 95/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

The fruit of 2008 was in excellent condition and harvested before the heat experienced later in the vintage season. Without doubt, the Polish River wine is as good as we could have hoped for and shows, in stark contrast, its distinctive fruit characteristics against that of Watervale. The bouquet displays purity of fruit, floral spice with hints of chalk, the palate is fine, tight and long with great chalk and minerality dancing on the tongue.

O'Leary Walker WatervaleRiesling 2008

Kemenys Price : $15.99
RRP : $22.00
Kemenys Rating : 93/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

2008 will be the benchmark season for Watervale. Pale straw in colour with a slight green tinge, this wine displays great purity of lime, lemon with hints of musk and fennel. The palate is fine yet intensely limey and long with a clean, crisp, naturally acidic finish and balance. Best enjoyed when young and fresh but will mature nicely over the next few years.

Penfolds Bin 51 Eden Valley Riesling 2006

Kemenys Price : $21.99
RRP : $28.00
Kemenys Rating : 92/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

Lifted rose petal aromas with subtle exotic spice notes are complemented by the lime aromatics, typically seen from the Eden Valley. Flavours of golden delicious apples come to the fore with lime and grapefruit providing structure and luscious mouth-watering acid.

Petaluma Hanlin Hill Riesling 2008

Kemenys Price : $22.99
RRP : $31.00
Kemenys Rating : 93/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

"Superb spice and gentle sweet herbs, very striking, ahead of lime fruits. The plate has a layer of texture that lends handy support into citrus and passionfruit pulp flavours, fresh and neat."

[NICK STOCK, WINE BUSINESS MONTHLY (AUSTRALIA), 01/10/2008]

Pegasus Bay Waipara Riesling 2007

Kemenys Price : $32.99
RRP : $39.00
Kemenys Rating : 95/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

"The 2007 Dry Riesling is even better, with a stoic, reserved granite-scented nose with superb definition - very Mosel in style. The palate is complex: touches of apricot, a little mango and star fruit leading towards a zesty, citrus finish that is difficult to discern as being dry. It has thrilling balance and precision."

[ROBERT PARKER, THE WINE ADVOCATE MAY 2008]

Pewsey Vale Eden Valley Riesling 2008

Kemenys Price : $13.99
RRP : $18.99
Kemenys Rating : 90/100
Value :

Tasting Note :

This Riesling is a rich and intensely flavoured wine. Classic fruit aromas of talcum, lemons and limes, with a hint of overlaying dried herb are present, along with a palate showing great length and depth with limes, and a hint of tropical fruit. The wine finishes with a soft but fresh natural acidity which balances the flavour intensity, and will reward with medium to long-term cellaring.

Crisp, fresh and dry, brimming with zesty lemon, lime and grapefruit flavours all wound around a core of tight mineral acidity. There is plenty of ripe, soft flavour to balance the bright acid.
