The opulent palate isn't bogged down by oak, and the tannins are very well managed."

"Opens with a little toasty oak and a slightly reduced meatiness but give it some time and a rich mix of berries, plum, pepper, spice and aniseed will be revealed.  It delivers all those good things you expect in Victorian shiraz.  On the palate medium bodied with good  weight and depth of ripe fruits such as plum and mixed berry but   essentially it feels quite dry - certainly spicy, a little bit meaty and has some dark chocolate thrown in too.  A very good Chalambar."
