The nose exhibits aromas of apple, pear and citrus fruit with hints of spice. The palate is richly textured, with layers of Nashi, stone fruit and background creaminess from lees contact, which is balanced by a fresh acidity. Drinking well now, however this wine will cellar for the next 5 years.
Sourced from Block 12 in the Adelaide Hills this extremely approachable medium bodied pinot noir has complex aromas of smoked bacon and roasted coffee bean. The palate is fruit forward with gamey, truffle flavours and natural sweetness softened by velvety tannins and moderate use of oak. The finish is soft and sleek and will continue to develop with further bottle maturation and careful cellaring. A great converter for the non pinot-philes.
